Our client is an evolving and rapidly expanding organisation within the energy / mining sector. Their activity extends across EMEA with a focus on operational interests in the African continent. Due to continued business progression, the group now requires a HR leader to transform the department and devise a business aligned people programme which will enable the organisation to realise its strategic goals.
Poste
This newly created role will be crucial to developing the business successfully and driving HR activity throughout the organisation. The HR Director will build and implement the foundations of the HR function (greenfield function), with their responsibilities including the following:
- HR / people policy review
- Organisational design
- Harmonisation of group variance
- Compensation and benefits review
- Leading and developing the international HR team
- Talent and development
- Change management
- Developing and implementing an HR strategy
- Delivering business and headcount growth
- Expat management
Based from Geneva, this role will provide central support to the executive committee. Travel will be necessary to build and maintain strong relationships with the African management team.
Profil
To be considered for this role candidates should have 5+ years' experience in senior HR roles, covering the generalist remit as well as a good knowledge of business operations. Candidates with experience in dynamic, entrepreneurial environments will be preferred, as will candidates with demonstrable experience developing a HR function in emerging markets.
Candidates must have a working knowledge of Africa - ideally West / Central Africa - and possess fluent language skills in both French and English.
