You will join the Product Assessment & Compliance team in Philip Morris International Management S.A. Neuchâtel, Switzerland and support the team with your expertise in epidemiological, biochemical, toxicological and related regulatory questions. This position requires the ability to deeply understand the needs of highly skilled scientists in a cross-functional environment and to play an active role in solving complex issues.
Specifically, you will:
- Provide statistical evaluations in biological, medical, epidemiological, (bio)chemical, toxicological and related regulatory questions
- Develop and/or customize statistical approaches to assess hypotheses of our scientific experts
- Support the team in the design of robust analytical studies in the areas of (smoke) chemistry, biological assays or clinical tests
- Review statistical evaluations of scientific publications or internal reports and assess their validity
- Analyze published or internal study data
Profil
You are a self-motivated individual with distinct curiosity in highly complex scientific matters. You have excellent problem solving skills and a sense of scientific pragmatism. You are a team player with outstanding communication skills both oral and written to deliver the message in a multicultural environment. You are achievement-oriented and strive for exceptional results in every aspect.
- University degree in applied statistics
- Minimum five years of industry experience in statistical evaluation of epidemiological, occupational health and/or environmental data, biological assays or clinical studies in an industrial or contract research organization (CRO) environment
- Ability to quickly grab the essence of scientific matters and to develop tailor-made statistical approaches that match the needs of the subject matter experts
- Commitment to deliver high precision and accuracy in results
- Sound understanding of business requirements of multinational organizations
- Demonstrated ability to work in interdisciplinary and multicultural teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Fluency in English both oral and written
