- The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) availability of Finished Goods in a 85% made to stock environment. This role will support all lines of business and will define stock locations, define stock levels, select couriers, make shipping decisions about how Finished Goods are shipped to and among EMEA warehouses, to customers and to other regional warehouses outside EMEA.
- P&L accountability includes working capital for finished good inventory, freight expenses, 3rd party logistics expenses and "in house" warehousing expenses. All finished goods product storage and movement for EMEA will be controlled by the team that this person will direct.
- Stock level controls - to include but not be limited to - Oversight of the purchasing of local 3rd party finished goods and placement of internal requirements (purchase orders) internally to replenish supply is critical for success of this role.
- A key element of this role is coordinating between regional functional groups; "Sales, Inventory & Operations" (SIOP planning); to translate Customer expectations and historical data into reliable forecasts and accurate inventory planning.
- The finished goods supply chain network can be broken down into large distribution centers (10 for EMEA) and a series (30+) of more local branch and/or consignment warehouses.
- The Supply Chain Manager will work closely with the sales team, finance team and product support group (and to a lesser extent the factories) to strive for an optimal balance between inventory, freight cost and product availability. The operational/tactical input will be translated into ERP/MRP system settings, ensuring a structured, system driven approach to manage/replenish the finished goods warehouses and consignment stocks.
- The Supply Chain Manager will proactively initiate and implement improvements to include number and type of warehouses, processes, people and tool changes.
Profil
Profil recherché :
- A minimum of 7 years proven relevant work experience in a complex Supply Chain and Logistics/Transportation environment
- Degree/Diploma in related field required
- Certification or enrolled is preferred
- Solid knowledge of MRP planning and supply chain optimization
- Extensive, proven hands-on experience with inventory/production planning
- Strong leadership capabilities in order to manage a planning team (possibly remotely located)
- Very analytical oriented
- A team player that knows how to motivate people and connects well with other disciplines
- Improvement and project focused
- Reliable during stressful times; when peak performance is required
- Able to prioritize and take the self-initiative
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, non-verbal and in written
- Well organized, accurate and well documented
- General MS Office
- MS Access skills is a plus
- Able to work with ERP/MRP systems, (Oracle or SAP ideally)
- English (fluent), French (an asset); other languages are appreciated
- Mobility up to 35%.
